oh. u_u
how do you pronounce your username/what does it mean? I swear whenever i tell friends about you i say it different every time

It’s just Kanel. (The FA thing is because kanel-furaffinity;;;;;; )
I pronounce it Kennel or Ken-Nail.
If you’re still at amazon, how’s peak been?
Nah, left Amazon a while ago before moving.
The commuting time would be far worse from where I live now. (Wishing old co-workers the best cause I’m sure it’s hell right about now ;;;;;;;;;;; )
How long has your icon been that slightly pestered cat?

UH, LIKE 2013??? 2012?????
Holy…..i should change that! (I still like the annoyed cat though;;;;; )
I don’t know if this has been answered before but is there any particular reason why you have two separate patreon pages? I hope I’m not being rude but I’m not sure what makes the pages so drastically different that there needs to be two of them.

Hey it’s no problem, i don’t find it rude.
One is for Comics (Per page charge)
One is for Artwork ($5 just for any content I do that isn’t comic related)
They are separated because comics take up a lot more time than just me doodling around things people suggest and comics aren’t something I can do freely without worrying about income/bills.
They are pretty much like projects / mini projects.
Is there any kind of personal fear you want to one day over come?

APPROACHING PEOPLE I GENUINELY WANT TO TALK TO or ADMIRE? BUT DON’t because I have the social skills of a goat.
H-HAHAh;;;;;;;???
(driving, still very fearful of that lmao)
I’ve seen a lot of artists making the move to Twitter and have been really curious as to why. Twitter’s recently been censoring a lot (albeit political) so why move to a platform that censors as heavily as it does? Honest curiosity.

I’m a NSFW artist my dude.
Tumblr would probably have a fit if I drew some nintendo content for example, even if I could go a while without being terminated. I rather not. I have other places i could easily post them to.
Let me reword myself though, I wouldn’t say I’ll MOVE to twitter. Just update it more frequently especially with content I couldn’t normally post here.
If I start doing fanart, I personally don’t want to hit by the hammer when it comes to Tumblr’s staff or any copyright impersonators. (Example, sitting on some midna, marina and pearl drawings I havent posted up. But I rather not fuck around with Nintendo content on tumblr unless its sfw.)
+ A lot of the content creators I enjoy aren’t from Tumblr or even artists.
+ Twitter just seems like a solid place socially.
Something I’ve struggled with personally and so seeking out a fellow artist who’s clearly ahead of the game, have you ever agreed to a commission that you have no drive to do? Or rather, nothing about it excites you I suppose? how do you find that inspiration? Is it as simple as just plowing through, or is there sort of psyching up you do to get yourself going? It’s been incredibly frustrating.

Ah, I’ve taken on pieces I’ve had no drive for more times than I wish I did. But bills and family at the time pushing their own financial troubles onto me kinda left me with no say without feeling like complete shit.
When you start off and you’re following isn’t very big. You kinda HAVE to take what’s given to you at the time. It’s just how it is for almost everyone especially those with a small paying audience or just starting. So I did not exactly have the luxury of picking & choosing like I do now.
Not sure how to help with the inspiration bit, since I’ve recently just complained about art not too long ago but got back the inspiration. I’m a commission artist. I draw more for work than I do myself. (It does fall under what you said though, psyching myself up!)
What helped me get inspired/get back to drawing was just actually taking the time out / setting a day to just draw things I always REALLY wanted to draw but have been avoiding to do because of obligations. Even if it wasn’t every idea. just some were enough! I’m already a messy artist, being even more messy/scribbly wouldn’t hurt.
Like, straight up drawing the ideas out regardless if they were messy/incorrect/dumb. Getting them out got me most pumped to keep on drawing.

Think you’ll do any more BnHA fanart? The pics with Smoldr were really cool, and it would be fun to see more of that kinda thing.

I honestly want to, but i probably won’t. You guys have no idea how much I get into it when I’m really into something and having fun.
The first stream I drew Smolder as a BnHA character got me excited for a lot of dumb ideas i want to see. Idolizing all-might, meeting deku/baku, crushing super hard on my man Mirio and Momo! (Like, doodle ideas when she’s not using her suit. She’s just a mean tiny grappler that’d soon scorch or chock her assailants/criminals into submission between her burning thighs/tail. JUST A BUNCH OF DUMB IDEAS I WANNA DRAW. LOL )
Is there a place you post your art? I’ve seen some of your art in reposts, but not on tumbr..
You’re on it! (KanelFA) I post more here and patreon than anywhere else.
Will hopefully change that and start posting more on twitter in the future.
